SFKM Charter awarding ceremony and conference dinner
The Ceremony of awarding SFKM2015 Charter of Gratitude followed by the Conference Dinner will be held at the Klub književnika (The Writers' club) restaurant on Thursday September 10 beginning at 8:00pm.
On its regular guest list, Klub književnika holds many great names: Momo Kapor,Ivo Andrić, Danilo Kiš, Dobrica Ćosić, Matija Bećković, Zoran Radmilović, Olja Ivanjicki, Miroslav Krleža, Borislav Pekić, Bogdan Tirnanić, Aleksandar Vučo, Olivera Katarina, as well as Jean Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, Richard Burton, Sophia Loren, Alberto Moravia, Elizabeth Taylor, Clint Eastwood and many others.
Klub književnika is not just a place of good food but also a place where many new ideas were conceived in Serbian culture. In Klub književnika Ivo Andrić gave his first statement after he received Nobel prize in literature.
Conference excursion
The conference excursion on Wednesday September 9 afternoon will be organized to Viminacium, archaeological site located 140 km southeast of Belgrade. Viminacium was one of the most important Roman towns and military encampments from the period from the 1st to the 6th century. In and around the town there have been discoveries of an amphitheatre, monumental buildings, lavish thermae (baths) and the remains of a highly-developed infrastructure, first and foremost streets, aqueducts and a sewage system.
